Her singing is the only bit that is a little bit weird. Not much, though. And her childishness, I think it’s kinda cute.
And we do see in flashbacks that she used to be the chubby best friend’s sidekick with the specs and braces, so at least they made an attempt to explain why she at least thinks she’s “weird”.
Thing is, her boyfriend is perfect for her, but I’m afraid that he’s not the one “destined” for her by the writers.
